> The Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of Mobic as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. Boehringer Ingelheim Inc. launched the drug four years ago for treating osteoarthritis, the most common form of the disease. Because Mobic is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (linked to ulcers and bleeding), the FDA says patients should take doses of Mobic no greater than 15 milligrams (once daily).
